I'm a guy who spent the first half of his life making a living playing and singing and the second half (so far) designing gates, fences, pergolas , arbors etc. I also write and do graphic work for a satire news site and read a ton of books. I was a single parent for many years but they have all gone on to lives of their own and are doing great. Life was running pretty smoothly for me until about September of 2005 when I discovered after visiting three doctors, the first 2 told me there was nothing wrong with me, the third discovered I had a cancer in my neck and things went downhill pretty fast after that. I spent a year in hell with chemo and radiation therapy and after all that was done they discovered I had to have a double hernia that popped up during all the crap I was going through and so I had to have that operated on. Let us just say that 2006 was not my year. I finally got back to work in April and am now on the comeback trail. All my scans show me cancer free now. Wheeeeeeeee
